Ingredients for the Dough:
- 300 g wheat flour (Type 405)
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6.08 fl oz warm water
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Filling Suggestions (optional):
- Steamed vegetables with soy sauce
- Minced meat with onions and spices
- Chopped mushrooms and spring onions
Preparation:
- Mix yeast, sugar, and warm water and let it rise for 10 minutes.
- Put flour and salt in a bowl, add the yeast mixture and oil, knead to a smooth dough.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size.
- Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll slightly.
- Add filling if desired or leave plain.
- Place each piece into the BunBud™ machine, press – perfectly shaped!
- Steam the buns for 15–20 minutes in a steamer or over boiling water.
- Serve warm – ideal with soups or as a snack.
Tip: For sweet buns, simply add some vanilla and extra sugar to the dough and fill with jam!
